Mim attended UCLA and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. She studied fine art and digital media and graduated from Art Center with a BFA (Distinction) in 2000. While at Art Center, Mim won the Award “9th Term Honors” for a digital media project that funded her study in an intensive course in all things digital, from motion graphics and special effects to web design and digital imaging.
After Art Center, Mim became a exhibiting artist showing digital media installation work in Los Angeles including shows at Mark Foxx, Bonelli Contemporary, The Garden Lab Experiment, Art Center Wind Tunnel, Roam Design, The Brewery, and the Bradbury Building Downtown. She also showed work in the natural environment such as the show Pacific Motion at Cabrillo Beach.
Mim’s first love was painting – which she still does as often as possible – paintings are being posted randomly regardless of when they were painted but get grouped according to my categories on the blog page.
